Wishes & More grants Ashley's wish!

Wish kid, Ashley, got to live every 16-year-old girl’s dream.  She was unleashed at the Mall of America for her very own shopping spree!

Ashley is a high school student from Frederic, WI.  She suffers from primary pulmonary hypertension.  Only after passing out during school when she was 11-years-old, did she and her family become aware of her condition.  When Ashley was diagnosed with PPH, she was told she would need to have a lung transplant when one became available.  In September 2005, Ashley received the call she had been waiting for - they had her new lungs!  The surgery was a success.  Ashley had a few set backs after her three month hospital stay.  She went back in for food poisoning and later pneumonia, but is now doing well.

Wishes & More  sent Ashley to spend the weekend at MOA in February of 2006.  She and her guests enjoyed visiting Underwater Adventures in MOA, screaming from the top of her new lungs on the roller coasters at the Park of Mall of America, and spending the money on the Visa gift cards she was given.  One of the things Ashley really wanted from her shopping spree was a computer, so after she chose the one she wanted, Wishes & More  had it sent to the hotel where Ashley and her guests were staying for the weekend!

Ashley’s wish came together to make for an amazing weekend. Wishes & More would like to thank the Mall of America and the Country Inn and Suites for all their help!
