Note from Clay: What a success the first annual Wishes and More Celebrity Dinner was this past Sunday night. I want to thank everyone who had a part in what was a wonderful evening at Bellanotte and without question we will do it again next year. When Karla and I first started talking about this event we thought $15,000 would be a perfect goal to strive for. That amount of money would be enough to grant about three wishes. I am happy to say we raised that and more. Emily, our special guest, is one of our wish kids. She came with her parents and she was really the star. Emily, we all love you and you kept us focused on our goal. The celebrities were the key to whole evening and I want to thank them again for their involvement: Bert, I knew you would be a big hit but you went above and beyond. From the whistle to the goldfish you were great entertainment, thank you! Joe, Matthew and Lew were great sports, they played a game that day and understandably could’ve gone through the motions, but they dug right in and were great with the guests. How about John Gordon? He was so enthusiastic and looked great in that apron, that’s not from me though, his wife Nancy said that. Dean Garrett, everyone enjoyed watching him! It’s not everyday you see a guy 6’11” with a red apron on asking you if you’d like more parmesan. To all of the Viking Cheerleaders, what can I say? I’m still drooling. You’re all gorgeous! And, last but not least, Terry Ventura! Terry, you never stopped working. I am glad you got Circled too! Thanks for all of your help and for bringing the Gov along. The Twins players really enjoyed talking baseball with him. I also want to thank those folks who helped in organizing the event: Mariah, Karla, Mark, Carol, John, Alex, Erica, Kathy, Donna, Jay, Beth, Mariah, and Choua. I hope I didn’t forget anybody! I had a great time and from what I hear, so did you. Thanks again! Clay Matvick
