Wishes and More hosted its first Black Tie Boxing event at Gabby’s Saloon & Eatery in Northeast Minneapolis on October 12^th.  It was an enormous success, with a sell-out crowd.  The evening began with a Martini Mingle sponsored by Bacardi.  Following dinner, the well-dressed crowd moved to ringside. 

Dan “The Common Man” Cole was our Master of Ceremonies for the three Golden Glove bouts at 120 lbs, 130 lbs and 180 lbs.  The main event featured former World Heavy Weight boxing contender, Scott LeDoux, facing Raphael Butler.  This was Scott’s farewell match against this 2003 Golden Gloves Champion, and the fight was both entertaining and emotional.  Karla Blomberg met her challenge entering and exiting the ring (in a full length gown!) as she shared the Mission of Wishes and More along with heart-felt stories.  We had a wonderful array of auction items between rounds, including Scott’s helmet & gloves.
