Letter from Karla:It was 23+
years ago when I heard the story of a seven year old boy that changed the course
of my life. It was a story about Chris. He had a brief rally from end-stage
leukemia and he expressed his wish to be an Arizona State Trooper. Within the
next few days, his dream came true as he was officially sworn to duty, dressed
in full
uniform, and then he slipped into a coma and gently passed away.
Before he closed his eyes for the last time, he
experienced three days of happiness, and he is forever remembered in a photo
album of joy that would not have existed if not for the efforts of strangers who
cared.
I was not the only one who heard Chris' story.
The concept of turning dreams into reality was born and thousands of children
and their families have been touched by the magic of wish granting. The
volunteer hours that were invested brought exponential return, although; I
thought it was time to close the door to this part of my life. However, the
mission of wish-granting drew me to the realization that this is actually the
time to make the door wider and to give others the opportunity to experience the
honor of being a founder and partner in such a worthwhile venture, as well as
guaranteeing the future of a wonderful grass-roots charity.
We have an incredible group of individuals
prepared to turn wishes into extraordinary experiences. Some are old and dear
friends who have years of experience and knowledge, and they are ready to join
me in making incredible memories. We have gained some new friends who will be
touched by the romance of wish granting for the first time. How about you?
Please help to make our wish come true by
helping us build
Wishes & More,
an organization established for children under 19 years old who are fighting
terminal and life-threatening conditions.
Wishes & More
will give personal and loving consideration to each child and their family.
A founder brings a concept to life and carries a
responsibility for its success. Give yourself the pleasure of knowing that you
are a founding supporter. Make a donation or volunteer your time and resources
- or both. You won't be sorry, and we can't do it without you.
Thank you,
Karla Blomberg
