Alex met his three favorite Twins, Joe Mauer, Joe Nathan and Justin Morneau at Spring Training in Florida.
Wish
Alex is a huge baseball enthusiast, and especially adores the Minnesota Twins. So it was no surprise when Alex wanted to go to their spring training camp in Florida.
It had been Alex’s desire for many years to attend the Minnesota Twins spring training camp, so it was no problem for him to wait another six months for spring to come. Alex is 18 years old and battles Factor V Leiden Disorder, increasing his tendency to form abnormal blood clots in blood vessels. Due to his condition, Wishes & More® provided the means for his personal care assistant to attend with him and his mom. Alex flew to Florida in March where he was chauffeured to the spring training game in a limo. While at the park, Alex received a special tour of the locker room and met some of his favorite players.
Alex said his trip was much more than he could have ever imagined. Mom said it was great to see him so elated after all the turmoil he has experienced. As an added bonus, Alex was briefly featured on the WCCO-TV’s Rosen’s Sports Sunday.
