Celebrity Waiter Dinner

    

 

The Wishes & More 3rd Annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner was more
than just an opportunity for guests to meet their favorite local celebrities,
but a chance to make the lives of children with terminal
or life threatening illnesses brighter for a day.
 

    
                 
 


Nick Punto, Lew Ford, Terry Ventura, John Hines, Bert Blyleven, Karyn Bye-Dietz, Matthew Feeney, Denny Hecker, Matthew "Rookie" Michalski, Jim Pellinger, Tom Reid, Rob Stauber, and the MN Vikings Cheerleaders all contributed to making the evening a success. 
Thank you to all who donated their time, energy and resources to this incredible event.
 

    
     
 
Throughout the evening, guests were given "Wish Cash" to be used in tipping the celebrities. 
Guests could write any amount they chose on the cash. From the moment the stars stepped out onto the floor, the popularity contest began.
 		    
       
       
 

At the end of the night it was the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders who raised the most money.  
Coming in at a close second was Bert Blyleven, who was able to charm the crowd.
Congratulations to the Cheerleaders and Bert.
 

    
              
 
We would also like to thank Cameron, one of our wish children who blessed us with his presence the evening of the event. Cameron is battling a brain tumor and wowed the crowd by describing his recent wish.
 		    
     
 


His wish was to travel to New York and see a Broadway show and the Statue of Liberty.
He had the time of his life and was kind enough to come to the event to thank Wishes & More.

Cameron you are a special boy
and will always bring inspiration to our hearts.

 

    
 

Wishes & More recognized a beautiful athlete, honor student and all American girl.  Ali Knotek is an incredible teen who has been leading our Teens-4-Kids program since its inception. This program gives teens an opportunity to get involved.  In her role she has been a cheerleader, a coordinator, a hostess and everything in between.  Thank you Ali for all of your hard work.
