Annual Valentine's Ball
The annual 2008 Valentine’s Ball was a
Rootin' Tootin' success thanks to all of those who volunteered, all of our
generous sponsors and every one of you who attended. The theme
"Haute' Couture Meets Wild West" brought an energetic twang to the evening
unlike any year before it. From gun fighting adventures to our sweet Tasiyah
stealing the hearts of everyone who laid eyes on her, this night will be
one not soon forgotten!
First and foremost we would like to extend a grand thank you
to our 2008 Sponsors. Without your support we wouldn't have these
priceless memories and we would not have achieved our fundraising goal. Thank you!
This year's theme was
packed full of shock and awe as Karla left audience members slack jawed by
a live horse clomping through dinner delivering cash from our generous
sponsors, gun fights, and a jailer hungry for jailbirds!
With help from co-hosts Terry Ventura and Jeff Passolt, Karla Blomberg, president, sure put on one entertaining show.
But the starlet who stole the spotlight and our hearts was four year old wish
child, Tasiyah. With a bright, beautiful smile and princess wave, she reminded us all why we
were there.
To make the night complete we were blessed with
five-star entertainment which included pianist Betzy McCulloch during cocktail
hour, The Denny Malmberg Ensemble during cocktail hour and dinner including jazz
vocalist Charmin
Michelle, and Moxie Blue finishing the night with us while we danced into the
wee hours of the morning. The music was sensational, thank you!
